EDT June 24, 2008 SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The U.S.
House of Representatives voted on Tuesday to pass a Democrat-backed Medicare improvement bill.
The House voted 355 to 59 to pass the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act, which is intended to improve access to preventive and mental health services, to improve low-income benefit programs, and to maintain access to care in rural areas.
